Robin Hapi and his whānau are from Foxton where Robin and his wife Kathy reside on a small lifestyle block. They have four children and 24 grandchildren and Great grandchildren.

Robin is of Kahungunu descent and Kathy is Rangitaane. Robin is a professional Director and serves on a range of private, public and voluntary boards. These include Chair of the Māori Economic Development Advisory Board, Deputy Chair of Callaghan Innovation, A Board member of NZ Trade and Enterprise, A members of the Asia Pacific advisory Board for Serco, Chair of Kahuranaki Trust at Te Hauke, President of the Foxton Rugby Club and actively involved with voluntary social, cultural and environmental issues in Foxton. Robin also has an interest in thoroughbred race horses as an owner.

Robin has an MBA (with Distinction) from Massey University, the recipient of a Massey Medal and a distinguished Alumni and is also a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit. He is keen to see the Foundation grow its capital base and assist Te Wānanga o Raukawa in all its aspirations.
